» Tsunami Disaster

During the devastating Tsunami disaster of December 2004, Patanjali Yogpeeth played a crucial role in providing extensive assistance to the affected individuals. The institution contributed 50 lakh rupees towards aiding the victims. In addition, Patanjali actively engaged in flood relief operations across more than 50 severely affected districts. Their efforts included distributing free food and clothing to hundreds of thousands of people daily. The relief operations involved a massive workforce of over 15,000 dedicated volunteers, highlighting Patanjali's proactive response and significant impact in alleviating the suffering caused by natural disasters.

» Bihar Floods of 2008

Patanjali played a crucial role in relief efforts for over 4 million affected individuals, with 1,600 villages destroyed and more than two million people displaced. Patanjali’s extensive relief efforts spanned over 50 locations, providing free food and clothing to hundreds of thousands. Over 15,000 dedicated volunteers tirelessly supported these efforts.

» In June 2013, Uttarakhand Flood

In June 2013, Uttarakhand flood, leaving many homeless, orphaned, and destitute. Patanjali, swiftly responded with extensive relief efforts. From their base in Guptkashi near the Kedarnath valley, Patanjali’s volunteers established relief camps, providing cooked meals, medication, and clean water. Recognising the logistical challenges, they also distributed substantial quantities of food to remote areas cut off by disrupted road networks. Additionally, Patanjali extended compassionate support to children orphaned by the disaster.

» In 2015, a Devastating Earthquake Struck Nepal

In 2015, a devastating earthquake struck Nepal, affecting locals, pilgrims, and travelers alike. Patanjali responded swiftly, dispatching 6-7 trucks of relief material, including 2-3 trucks of water and 1 truck of fruit, potatoes, tarpaulins, and biscuits. Additionally, medicines valued at Rs. 1 crore were provided to address medical needs. Patanjali immediately constituted 20-30 teams to organise and sustain relief camps in remote districts, ensuring the provision of food, tents, blankets, and mats until the affected people’s lives became smoother. Patanjali and its associates contributed over Rs. 5 crores for relief work, with thousands of volunteers tirelessly serving those in need. Amidst the rubble and chaos, Patanjali adopted around 500 orphan children, vowing to provide them with quality education and covering their living expenses to ensure they were not left behind in the turmoil.

» Assam Flood

In the wake of the 2017 Assam flood, which left half a million people homeless and took numerous lives, Patanjali continued its humanitarian efforts. Amidst the devastation, Patanjali led a relief effort focused on providing essential nutrition to the survivors, distributing juices, nuts, whole cow milk products, and various food items to struggling families. This compassionate act aimed to reassure the affected that they were not alone. Patanjali’s efforts, in collaboration with the state government, were crucial for the recovery of the affected communities.

» In 2023, the town of Joshimath was struck by landslides

In 2023, the town of Joshimath was struck by landslides, leaving many lives in turmoil. In response, Patanjali quickly launched a relief program, two truckloads of aid, including two thousand blankets and essential provisions were sent from Haridwar to Joshimath.

» Violence-stricken Manipur

In 2023, Patanjali extended support to violence-stricken Manipur by distributing crucial supplies to relief centers across multiple districts, including Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Kakching, Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, and Tengnoupal. Patanjali provided a generous relief fund amounting to goods valued at Rs. 1 crore to rural women Self Help Groups. Recognising the critical need for nutrition, donation included suji, atta, cornflakes, biscuits, oats, sugar, and other staple foods.
